From 1974 to 1995, Brother Witness Lee conducted a book-by-book study of the entire Bible that he called a life-study. The published volumes contain 1,984 messages that we know as the Life-study of the Bible. These messages have become an indescribably rich heritage to us in the Lord’s recovery.
Brother Ron Kangas served as the main editor of the Life-study messages. In May 2023 we sat down with Brother Ron for an interview concerning the history of the Life-study publication work. Here we offer the first part of that interview, with the remainder to be published in subsequent issues of “Having This Ministry…”
In 2021 Living Stream released the inaugural volume in its new series, Historical Evaluations of Christian Thought, on the topic of justification by faith. Now we are pleased to announce the release of the second part, entitled Challenging the Traditional Interpretations of Justification by Faith, Part 2. We would like to introduce you to this new publication.
The New Testament Recovery Version offers this translation of the first part of Acts 13:1: “Now there were in Antioch, in the local church, prophets and teachers...” This rendering is unique among most English versions, but there is a solid basis for it.

It is vital for us to see that to be in the name of the Lord Jesus means that we are one with Him, that we are in Him and He in us. As the Son is in the Father and the Father in the Son in the way of coinherence, we also must be one with the Lord in this way. We and the Lord Jesus should coinhere; that is, we need to be in Him and have Him in us. Then truly we shall be in the Lord’s name.
Whether we are walking on the street or are at home or in the church meeting hall, as long as we are exercising our spirit, we are worshipping God. As long as we are in our spirit and exercise our spirit to contact God, we render true worship to God.
